Karapiro Stool – All Black

Building on your love for the natural Oak seats of the Karapiro stool, we decided to up the ante, introducing our new, limited edition, black Karapiro with black stained oak seats.

Because the oak stool seats are made right here in Christchurch we are able to work closely with our cabinet maker to create handcrafted stools, each one subtly different from the next and of a quality that will last a lifetime – NOT just a season.

There is a lot of love involved!  First, the solid oak timber is hand-selected to make sure the grain & the colour matches, then it’s machined & glued. Next, we sand it smooth & stain before sealing.  After that, it still needs to be tinted & finally we apply the commercial-grade 2 pack clear topcoats, for premium protection.  Its a lot – but worth it!!!

Another beauty of the Karapiro bar stool is the crisscross metal legs that create 2 different footrest heights, one for the little people and one for the big. The Karapiro Stool All Black is simple & quietly sophisticated.

While we like to use sustainably grown white Oak, timber choice can be changed on request,  we recommend Macrocarpa for outdoor use.

For a small fee, we can also custom colour the legs to any Dulux powder colour you like.  (Available on request).

Measures: 675mm high x  430mm wide x 400mm deep

Minimal assembly required: 4 x small screws per stool.
